About this Class
The Modern and Metallic Class Curriculum is designed for painting contractors, decorative finishers or fine finishers wishing to add a modern portfolio of finishes to their arsenal of cabinet finishing techniques.
This is a highly profitable niche market, created to go after the modern trends in residential design. Kelly S. King, an internationally renowned fine finishing instructor, will be teaching this class. Kelly is the president of the Kelly S. King Academy, Perfetto Paints and Kitchens Redefined. Kitchens Redefined is a Kitchen Design and Remodel Company that specializes in cabinet refinishing and refinishes over 150 kitchens each year. Perfetto Paints manufactures highly specialized coatings for fine cabinetry, furniture and wall finishes. The Kelly S. King Academy has been teaching decorative and fine finishes for over 28 years and has developed one of the most comprehensive portfolios of finishes globally. In total, his experience of 31 years in business has led him to develop many successful students to build profitable business models in his industry.
For years, basic paint or stain finishes have been used to finish or refinish cabinets in kitchens and bathrooms. While painted and stained finishes can still be foundation options for cabinetry, designer finishes with transitional and modern looks are captivating clients across the nation. Many homes over the last 25 years have been built in a traditional design style. The finishes taught in the Modern and Metallic Class arm you with a powerful portfolio of cabinet finishes designed to move traditional kitchens built across the US and refinish them to help modernize the home without tearing out the old cabinets. Kelly’s clientele base in his Kitchen Design company, are high income earners and wealthy clients that tend to be more frugal in their remodel approach. Rather than tearing out perfectly good cabinets, they desire to refinish them with modern techniques. A large percentage of the kitchens his crews refinish every year are designed in the modern or metallic finishes that he will be promoting in this training. The kitchen remodeling trends are predicted to continue to soar over the next several years, paving a way for you to take advantage of cabinet refinishing projects that will be in demand and capitalize on this highly profitable niche market.
The finishes in this class are taught on actual cabinet doors to give you the full experience necessary. When finished, each of these finished samples will be the perfect sales aids for you to sell job after job of designer modern and metallic cabinet finishes. In fact, one sold job could easily cover the cost of this class. Also, in this training, we will walk you through our refinishing facility and show you our processes we use to accomplish our finishing and refinishing projects.
